Descriptif:

Longquan brown-spotted celadon bottle of slender pear shape with tapering sides, tall slender neck with spreading mouth, and rounded, everted lip; straight foot and glazed, flat base with a circular recess in the centre. Whitish porcelain with translucent light grey-green glaze decorated with spots of ferruginous dark brown. The foot ring burnt orange-brown.

Commentaire:

Les céladons ornés de taches brunes, produites par de l’oxyde de fer, sont particulièrement prisés au Japon, où ils portent le nom de tobi seiji 飛青磁 (litt. céladon volant).
