Copper red painted porcelain 釉裏紅瓷器

Porcelain from the Jingdezhen kilns 景德鎮窯, Jiangxi Province 江西省, Qing dynasty 清代 (1644-1911).

The technique for stabilising copper red glaze, previously so unpredictable when fired, has now been fully mastered.

    Mark of Xuande 宣德 (1426-1435), circa 1720-1730

    Both the shape and decoration are imitations of a 15th century style.
