Three different aspects of the rich Chinese cultural heritage are presented in this exhibition of objects from the Dong Bo Zhai Collection, brought together by a collector from Hong Kong. Important archaic bronzes reflect the evolution of these remarkable sumptuary vessels from the Shang (circa 1550-1050 BC) to the Han dynasty (206 BC-221 AD). A white marble statue of the Buddha exemplifies the heights achieved in Buddhist sculpture in the 6th century, and finally an ensemble of worked gold presents a panorama of imperial wares and gold jewellery from the 13th to the 18th century.
