Description:

With rounded, spreading sides gently everted at the lip, the hollow stem spreading at the foot, and encircled below the bowl by a rounded collar. Incised round the outside are the Eight Buddhist Emblems of Happy Augury (ba ji xiang 八吉祥), comprising the endless knot, pair of fish, vase, lotus, canopy, umbrella, conch, and wheel, each set on a lotus spray, with a ruyi head border below; and on the foot are conventionalised floral sprays. The outside is covered with a transparent light yellow glaze; the inside and interior of the stem are plain glazed.
