Description:
Jian ware bowl with iridescent markings conical, with a slight constriction below the rim, which is bound in a ring of silver; the sides pared round the foot. Coarse brown stoneware with a heavy, lustrous glaze of black streaked with fine brown markings inside and outside, and gathering in a thick roll above the foot. In reflected light the glaze reveals a striking blusih-green surface iridescence patterned with crackle lines.
